In 1989 I attended National Holistic Institute in Emeryville California, the start of many years of training, learning, and loving massage therapy and health education. I have many modalities that I draw from that I then integrate into what I feel is needed at the time of your appointment. There are many benefits to massage and regular massage therapy is by far the best way to receive those benefits.

I am trained as an Essenstrics Instructor a Melt Method instructor and an Infant Massage Instructor. I am honored to be included as a Psoas Savvy Practitioner from Liz Koch of Core Awareness. My hope is that you leave my sessions with a deep sense of being.

I have worked on pregnant women since 1989. I enjoy this time in a woman’s life with awe and great respect. Additional training in pregnancy massage, infant massage and the experience of the birth of my daughter has prepared me with the tools necessary to provide confident, caring and prudent treatments to pregnant women.

Massage can help to alleviate stress on the mind and body. Lower back tension can be addressed, as well as neck and shoulder stress. A full body treatment can be given, with knowledge of how to use essential oils safely and effectively.

You and your family can be assured that you are in safe hands.

A happy mom is a happy baby.

Babies delight in receiving attention and love right from the start. Massage can be a wonderful way to set up a special ritual for a way of life that we all want for our children.

Busy lives, hectic households and minds flying in all directions—this training can help to establish a model for our children to make time to just be.

Everyone will tell you to enjoy them now, they grow up so fast… Why not, then?

In 1993, I worked with the late Tamara Slayton at the Menstrual Health Foundation in Sebastopol, California. I feel it is very important to help our young girls enter womanhood with grace, respect and the realization of power, of coming into their own. I know this truly is a life’s journey.

I am the oldest of four girls in my family. I have a lovely teenage daughter and several nieces. My experience teaches me that we are all so very different. Finding a way of celebration that fits the personality of the young woman—so as not to embarrass—is pivotal.

This time in a young lady’s life marks what truly sets us apart from men. It is what makes us women. I am posting this page as an invitation to explore the possibilities of celebrating this time with your daughters. We can set an example of self care, self respect and self love. Massage supports a healthy body image and also feels really good, making it a perfect beginning to a life of powerful introspection and powerful being.

I find that I am in awe of the life cycle and love to honor the whole process of our humanity. One great joy that I have encountered is working with seniors.

My work is adaptable to fit the needs of clients positioning for comfort as well as for any special health concerns that arise.

I often have my poodle Josie with me at work. In early 2016 we were awarded the Canine Good Citizenship Award from the AKC, a certificate we need to be a social therapy dog. My dreams have  come true to work with my dog, Josie is a very well behaved girl who knows that when we are at work, its quiet healing time.

The MELT Method® is a breakthrough self-treatment system that restores the supportiveness of the body’s connective tissue to eliminate chronic pain, improve performance, and decrease the accumulated stress caused by repetitive postures and movements of everyday living. New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide whole-body support, protection, and mind-body communication.

When pain becomes chronic, the body’s natural state of stability and balance declines. When a body isn’t stable, it can’t be efficiently mobile. By learning how to MELT, you can learn to actively partake in decreasing stuck stress daily so it doesn’t accumulate and cause symptoms that sap your vitality and energy.

How does MELT work?

Day-to-day living creates tension within our bodies. Physical stressors range from sitting at a desk to running a marathon. Carrying children and heavy bags creates trapped tension, as does even the gentlest form of exercise. Emotional, mental, and environmental stressors such as processed foods, medications, environmental toxins, and daily worries all build tension in the body. New science reveals that this “stuck stress” is literally trapped in our connective tissue, which surrounds every joint, muscle, nerve, bone, and organ. Unaddressed trapped stress causes connective tissue dehydration and cellular damage. This creates a domino effect that begins with aches and stiffness and leads to common health issues such as neck and low back pain, headaches, insomnia, digestive problems, and injury. Accelerated aging and chronic health problems can follow . . . leaving us with limited options such as medicine, surgery, and a sedentary lifestyle. However, when the connective tissue is hydrated & free of roadblocks, our bodies function at a more optimal level. MELT is a technique that keeps our connective tissue & nervous system in top condition, slowing down the aging process. MELT rejuvenates tissue hydration & relieves the tension of day-to-day life that gets trapped in our bodies. No other proactive approach directly treats the connective tissue—including nutrition, exercise, yoga, or vitamins.

Essentrics with Regina

It all started when…

I would be in pain after walking my dog. I knew that I needed something that would help me to do all the things I want to do, like walk the dog. Essentrics has been my answer and I am now happily teaching here in the Valley of the Moon. After many years of being a professional ballerina Miranda Esmond White developed Essentrics to help her not be in so much pain as a midlife athlete. Essentrics is a a dynamic low impact workout that will move every joint and muscle in the body stretch and strengthen relax and energize. My hope is that you leave the class feeling really good in your body. I like to call it a wonderful fascial workout.
